The INFINITE technology is an innovation in process design. The process combines equipment from well-known, established suppliers in a sequence which optimizes their efficiency. Each supplier has been directly involved with the design and selection of their equipment to provide a smooth, efficient step in the process.

 

The starting materials, or feedstock, include wood of all types (including bagasse and railroad ties), energy crops, agricultural residue, cellulose, and refuse derived fuel from municipal solid waste. 

 

This is how it works:

 

1. In the gasification step, the feedstock is broken down primarily into CO and H2, and some CO2 and hydrocarbons.

2. Then, the gases are cleaned and filtered.

3. Those gases are compressed and water is removed.

4. The gases are reacted in two subsequent reactors, where the final product is gasoline.

5. That product is sent into the distillation column to separate the gasoline from water and unreacted gases.

6. Any unreacted gases are sent back into the process, the water is sent to storage, and the gasoline is stored before it is sold. 

 

The result is maximum conversion of the feedstock into the highest yield of high-octane, renewable, drop-in gasoline. No further refining is required. Blending with refinery blendstock and winter/summer additivies will result in a finished gasoline which is engine-ready, clean-burning, and carbon-saving. Infinity gasoline is the ultimate "sustainable biofuel".

 

In addition to the core process, heat exchangers around the reactors transfer heat to water to create steam. This steam goes through a turbine that produces power. These energy saving processes produce enough power to run the entire system.
